Paid Warmups (Schooling)
Paid warm-ups (4-minutes each), for schooling your horse, will be offered at the discretion of show management. Normally, this will include an AM, Mid-Day and PM round. Number of slots available will vary depending upon total show day capacity.
Beginner A/B/C
Open to Beginner Horse and Beginner Non-Pro riders. Neither horse nor rider may have won a first place and/or not more than $50.00 in reining. One or two hands allowed. A & B use modified patterns and allow simple lead changes. Beg C uses regular patterns and simple lead changes will only be penalized 1 point.
Working Horse Halter (*New Class*)
Open to horses of all age groups. Horses will be judged on conformational correctness and suitability for western working events. No deductions for sweat marks as long as horse is clean.
Youth
Limited to riders 18 years of age or under as of January 1st of the current year. No stallions permitted.
Novice Horse / Novice Rider (Randy Barr)
Open to horses who have not AND riders who have not won more than three first place finishes in reining in accordance with NWRA rule #4.
Maiden Horse / Open Rider
Open to any horse that has never won a first place in reining in accordance with NWRA rule #4.
1st / 2nd Year Rider
Open to riders in their first or second year of reining competition.
1st/2nd Year Horse / Open Rider
Open to horses in their first or second year of reining competition.
Beginner Rider / Open Horse
Open to beginner Non-Pro riders (as described above) and any level of horse (open horse). Regular patterns will be ridden.
Novice Horse / Open Rider
Open to horses who have not won more than three first places in reining in accordance with NWRA rule #4.
Beginner Horse / Non-Pro Rider (*New Class*)
Open to Beginner Horses who have not won a first place and/or not more than $50 in reining. Riders must meet all Non-Pro eligibility requirements including horse ownership rules.
Limited Non-Pro
Open to Non-Pro rider who has earned less than $1050 (350 average) in NRHA earnings over the three previous calendar years. Class must be ridden one handed.
Limited Open
Open to any rider who has earned less than $5000 lifetime NRHA earnings. Class must be ridden one handed.
Non-Pro
Open to riders who are Non-Pro according to NRHA rules, and must meet all NRHA Non-Pro conditions. Class must be ridden one handed.
Open
Open to all riders and horses. Class must be ridden one handed.
